The Timber Selling Process
Step 1
Timber Walk and Evaluation.
Our timber buyer will inspect your property to assess timber quality, quantity, and species, determine property lines, and recommend the best management plan — which may include delaying harvest. You’re welcome to join the walk to discuss goals, though your presence isn’t required.
Step 2
Price and Contract
We provide a price based on the quality of the timber, species, quantity, difficulty of the harvest, and estimated board footage. After walking the property, a price is calculated and presented to you. If you want to sell your timber, a contract is provided, and a payment is made for the timber upon signing the contract.
Step 3
Logging the Timber
Our logging crew uses best management practices and directional felling techniques to prevent damage to the surrounding trees. We take care to minimize damage to the non-harvest trees. We try to minimize the impact on your property.
Step 4
Restoration
Upon completion of the logging process and before our logging crews leave your property, they will reclaim the log yard and skidder paths. Each job site is unique and requires a different approach to cleanup. We intend to leave your property in the best shape possible before we leave.
